An NDP government scares me but the fact that she only has only a handful of minions who have any real life business experience and been off of mommies tit for more than a year scares the living hell out of me!!!

I'm pouring a double rum from Barbados for this! Congrats to the NDP.
Hopefully next time the WR will have squared their stuff away to earn my vote. Or maybe the PC's have learned their lesson and I'll come back then. But enough of corporate greed for now, move elsewhere and enslave another group of people for the people of Alberta have spoken.

Holy **** sounds like somebody who deserves to be called an Albertan. Right or wrong it will be decided by the voting majority. The resources are here, and the workers are here, we will persevere and come out on top of whatever we are dealt. Wtf does everybody think there parents, or grandparents or great grandparents did, they worked to get where they were, good governments or bad. Rant over.

I do however think they might bring in some programs where we could get a better return for the people of the province from the sale of our natural resources. Norway's program is enviable. Perhaps there will be some benefit, but I'm doubting it will offset the rest of the train wreck.
The only change to international business investment other than what was already happening plus some minor tweaks is going to be because they are trying to play hardball to break an NDP gov't and maintain rock bottom taxes in order to maximize profits. Regardless of fearmongering NDP has clearly stated they will not turn the screws while the chips are down. If a 2% tax increase means businesses shun AB then sayonara. But let it be clear you won't be invited back for the next round of development when prices are up and profit potential is strong. And you won't take advantage of AB business while living in a different jurisdiction. If we aren't prepared to play hardball then we as AB'ers should be prepared to have our pants pulled down around our ankles.

You won't be so smug when the value of your real estate and your RRSP drops 30%.

Left right or center, he was a people person, nothing more or nothing less.

He stepped forward and did a job.

He is not a god but someone who served.

I will always credit people who step forward.

Hahaha jokes on you. There is a darn good chance the NDP will form the next gov't in BC too. All depends if they find a decent leader. BC is hardly averse to NDP rule. Far more likely scenario than in AB.

Hillarious part if there is a RE crash due to reaction like yours. YOU are the problem not the NDP. They haven't made one move. Over reaction will kill the market for sure. Good job. SMRT

There already is bargains. Tonnes of companies have big debt and no way to pay with oil prices down. Before NDP had any say in anything. Of course the SMRT people will KNOW it is all the NDP's fault LOL.
