Default Has anybody been out to highwood river lately?

We are heading out to highwood for the second part of today. Just wondering if anyone has been out there lately. Heading out today in hopes of catching my first bull trout!

Did you manage to get to the Highwood? I am wondering how it was myself.

Made it out and the river is super dry. All access has been changed since the floods. Managed to find one place next to highway 40 and caught nothing. River is shallow in lots of places and most deep spots have been destroyed because the river has moved.

Ruined might be a little harsh, the 2013 flood certainly made some changes but the fish are still there and it will only improve with time. I was out in the Fall of 2013 or 2014 can't remember which and the fishing wasn't what it was but I got enough good Cutties and Cut/bows to make it worth while. Poke around a bit and you will find the fish.

LOL, ruined...

This is my first year fishing it and it seems a damn fine river with lots of fish to me. Hope to get out in some of the upcoming nice weather., The bow is looking really inviting too though...so many choices.
