Shore fishing

Good afternoon ladies and gents Im wondering where there is some good dock or shots fishing west or south west of Edmonton, I'm not a big fishing guy but my new neighbor said he would like to get out for some early morning casts and neither of us have a boat any info is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely I have quite a few honey holes around Edmonton. What's your limit for distance?

I'm an hour sw of Edmonton so a couple hour drive is my limit thanks.

Ok then pretty well golden for tons of nice spots....(rainbow trout) there's a nice pond in beaumont that's perfect for shore fishing and it's basically shooting fish in a barrel out there. (Brown trout) go to east pit lake bring many different baits these fish are picky and seen a lot. (Walleye) can't beat pigeon lake a lot of nice places where they like to shore up. And wabamun is pretty well good for a bit of everything. Hope this helps if your after any other types I know a few other spots. Also if you wanna fish the NSR I got a few holes that always get bites

Carson Lake is made for shore fishing.
Has benches along a 500 yard + on a fishing ledge . 3 foot drop off at your feet.
