Default Green worms

Was out by Nordegg yesterday and all the rainbows I caught were spitting up these tiny green worms. They were about a half inch long and very thin. Just wonering if anyone knows if they are some pupa stage of an insect.

Rhyacophillidae caddis.

They are common to the Nordegg area.

They have no case up until pupation when they then cover themselves with little stones and complete metamorphosis into an adult

They are quite common in the area.

If this was in a lake, chances are you were looking at chironomid larvae. They are the most abundant food source in almost all stillwater environments.
