Default My First Fly

Just picked up a vice, some basic tools, and materials to start fly tying today. First up was a flashback hares ear. The flashback doesn't show up very well on camera, but here it is:

Gonna do a few more of these then try some pheasant tail nymphs

Here's my first attempt at a pheasant tail, the abdomen's definitely a little short, and the head's a bit long, but a few more tries and I should have it.

Cool

Great fly , well done for a first attempt. Good proportions and use of materials. A fish catcher for sure

Awesome job on those flys. It's an amazing feeling to catch your first fish on a fly you tied.
