Default 30 M1 Carbine

Leduc Crapy Tire had a couple of these. $400. They look like they'd be a hoot. I wouldn't expect much accuracy though. I can't remember the brand they carry and was wondering if anyone knows more about them. How's ammo for price and availability? Would it be worthwhile to put any kind of optics on one?

400. ? Run, don't walk and buy them. Seems like a very unusual find in a CT store.

Find out if they are restricted.
Yes they are fun, but also fairly useless.

I used to have a universal make of one. Winchester ammo was $52/box....ouch. The AE stuff was more affordable,if you can find it. Mine was restricted so it was not the best to bomb around in,but your right it was a hoot . Similar round to a 357 .

I'm not sure if they're restricted. Can you get hi-capacity mags. for them? Sure they just had 5 rounders in them.

You can get hicap mags, but all must be pinned to 5.

Auto Ordnance is making a non restricted... Looks very nice (attractive wood) and the reviews are favourable. Probably a little more money than Norinco would do it for however.

I am really hoping that a lot of you will buy some and get tired of them....

Ah, one day.
