Question Brazeau

Afriend of mine took his jet boat up the brazeau from the resivior to where the blackstone dumps in and couldn't catch a thing. He was wondering if i could gather any info on how to get SOMETHING other than snags???

Default Lots of answers

Could be:

1) Wrong presentation.
2) Wrong location. Not every confluence is a honey hole.
3) Wrong time of day. Heat of the day? Fishing might be slow.
4) Wrong time of the year. Fish may not have been present.

Lots of possible answers, what else can we say? Your buddy might be an awesome fisherman, but if there were no fish there, or the fish simply weren't cooperating, c'est la vie.

That's fishing sometimes, even very very skilled anglers score the big nada occassionally.

Having said that, ask your buddy if his presentation was close to the river bottom, or close to structure. You mentioned snags, so I'll assume he was generally fishing the "fish" zone.

Bear also in mind that overall, the Brazeau river in general is not regarded as a productive fishery. Oh, there are fish to be had, but its not a river that you're going to "clean up". And that far down the Blackstone, you are definitely out of the fish zone, in terms of the most productive trout water.
