Default My son’s first hardwater fish.

Took my boy out for a couple hours today at Eagle lake. I knew the camera would keep him interested long enough to catch something. His 6 and his patience isn’t much, but patience was our lesson of the day, in more ways than one.
With how murky Eagle is we were lucky to have a couple feet of partial visibility. The fish were cooperative though, with some close camera inspections.
My son actually got a bit scared after seeing a fish. It’s easy to mistake the perspective and scale. Anyways we got to watch the bite, which was priceless. And he got to see why keeping somewhat still is necessary.
It’s his 3rd fish total and he figured I was a super hero when I answered his question of how many I’ve caught. lol. Not like I’ve counted but it’s gotta be a couple thousand or more.
Anyways he wants me to ‘show the world’, so eat your heart out world, lol.

A picture worth framing.

Always fun getting young ones on their first fish. The camera definitely makes it more fun too.
