We fished open water for them from a boat on Sylvan. We were trolling in about 8 feet of water and were able to see them scatter from in front of the boat, especially when we went over sandy areas. I put a wire worm under a bobber rigged to about 6 feet and had some pretty good success. It worked really well when there was a slight breeze and ripple on the water. Had a blast.
