Default Vegerville Pond

Thinking about going fishing in Vegerville, and just wondering if the ice is good, and what people have been catching? (Perch, or trout) And if the fishing is good or slow.

Thanks!

I've been out a few times. The ice is solid. 15" before xmas.

Both fish being caught. Lots of action.

Vigsy may weigh in here. He went out yesterday and 2 guys caught 100 in 4 hours.

Yes was out new years day other then having to use every tent anchor and a hundred pounds of snow to hold the tent down it was a great day. Ice maybe 16-18 inches, 70 perch and 30 rainbows caught in 4 hours

yeesh went out there on Friday and Saturday and pretty much got skunked. Apart from a few perches and one brave cray fish. Usually do very well there but man nothing was biting. What happened to this pond?

It probably just hasn't been restocked yet.

perhaps thats it but normally when the days not going well we would go for perch and seems like no perch in there aswell aside from the 2 we caught haha the highlight of the day was the crazy cray fish that grabed onto my line like Indiana Jones.

When you say Vegreville pond, are you talking about the pond at the Lions Campground?...or is there a different pond?
