Default Wabamun Report for May 23

My bud Jamas and I got there about 5 ish and fished until 9 p.m. Great evening to be out. The water flattened out nicely and it turned into nice weather.

We both had fish on within 5 minutes and both ended up around the 22-24 mark in numbers on pike each. I think the best were about 6 between the 7-9 lb mark and one lunker at just under 14 lbs. The first few fish were very acrobatic with multiple jumps right out of the water. Some real crazy and great pike action.

Here are some highlight pics:

The 13.8 lb hen for the evening.

Next stop, Sylvan with my dad tomorrow at 6 a.m. Hope to get some open water whites and more hens.

Cheers!

Nice fish. I was going to head there last nite too but ended up cutting the grass etc around home. Hate it when grass takes precedence over fishing!
