Default first rainbows of 2019

Creeks been running pretty good around here the last few days so the ice is starting to lift.As I was driving past a culvert that had water flowing through it,I thought I saw a swirl.Stopped and grabbed my 5 weight, put on a egg sucking leach under a indicater and made a short cast....bang, 1st bow of the year.Made a quick release and repeated, all very hard strikes and active fish. Tomorrow is another day!!!!

So is this creek connected to your ponds? Didn't think there would be many creek run trout around your parts.

Should have a section of moving water between your ponds so you could exercise your fish and keep their muscle tone up.
