Bear down!
Shot my first bear and big game animal! Came into a moose call, popped out of the bush at about 200 yards, stalked him to within 50, dropped him on the spot with new 30-06. Thought he was small at first but turns out he was almost 375lbs and a pretty decent sized skull. Really short but really plump. 4 inches of fat just on his back. Thanks to all those on here that helped and gave advice, it's been a long time coming to get a bear.
Good luck

Congrats on the bear, but you really need to learn how to take a good trophy shot. You should be sitting ten feet behind the bear so it looks HUGE.
