Default Notley says she will use Jack Layton model of government.

“That assembly reflects the will of the voters, and so then it’s wise — it’s the Jack Layton model. You try to make government work,” Notley said.

Jack Layton & Gun Control

At the May 27 and May 28, 1991 meetings of Toronto City Council, Jack Layton voted to endorse the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Big City Mayors’ Caucus resolution on Gun Control (May 10, 1991), which contained, among others, these demands for future gun legislation:

“Impose strict limits on the number of firearms and the quantity of ammunition that an FAC holder is permitted to purchase or own.”
“Semi-automatic and any military or para-military weapons should be removed from the category of Restricted firearms[1], and placed in the category of Prohibited firearms, permitted only to peace officers and other authorized persons.”
“The use of technologically-advanced detection devices and specially-designated spot-check search and seizure procedures should be implemented to enforce the banning of semi-automatics.”

Motley did not comment if this would lead to any happy endings for senior NDP "members" at Chinese massage parlours.

If you are a hunter and or a responsible gun owner a vote for the NDP would be like cutting your own throat. Taliban Jack style politics just don't work in the long run

Default Scary

For anyone who thinks we do not need more regulation of our lives by benevolent bureaucrats. Or, if you are on the side of finding ways to suck up more "government" handouts for yourself... very fine. Those of us who actually pay for said handouts will be closing our shops, laying off our oppressed and miserable employees (which they will no doubt be very grateful for?), and moving to less antagonistic climes. Good luck.
