Default Stripped screw removal help

I'm trying to remove a screw that is beyond stripped at this point. Any tips would be great. It's recessed so I can't get at it to cut a slit for a flat head or get at it with grips. With the vice grips, hack saw and dremmel out of the mix I went down to home hardware and picked up an extracter. No dice, a waste of 5 bucks lol. Any thoughts? Thanks to the extracter the head is pretty much rounded out now

If its large enough you can use a drill and extractor.

If you have access to a welder you can weld a nut on the end and spin it out. It throws a little heat at it as well to help break it free

What is the screw in? Can you just drill it out completely and replace with a slightly larger one (for like a self tapping metal or wood screw) or is it like a threaded bolt type thing?

If its not a problem, drill old screw completly out, drill tap drill size for the next larger screw/bolt and tap.
... if it's a 3/16" bolt, drill out and re-tap for a 1/4"

Thanks all! It's in a plastic of some sort with a metal jacket for the screw. Machine threads. I'm going to try a left hand drill bit next.
