Default Not cool Apple...not cool. Where's my right click?

OK, I have lost my right click on my stupid apple magic mouse. It used to work, for copy and paste etc...now when I right click I get left click action. Left click action when I left click, and left click action when I right click.

What in the heck is going on? System preferences is set for secondary click on the right side. Turn it on...same thing. Turn it off same thing. Apple is starting to seem like a piece of junk compared to most other PC's I've used.

Right clicking and copying and pasting links is my millieu...I am lost without it. Please help!!!

You're aware that the brains of the operation has "left the building", right?

Yes, but I used to be able to do that with right click. Now I can't. Boo.

Maybe the mouse is full of cheese or something.

Not sure why your right click stopped working, but control - click works the same.

Turn the damn thing upside down! You been drinkin?

Try going to your mouse settings and check your secondary click action. Disable or unplug any other mouse you may have. I sometimes have the same problem with a Logitech Rev MX when bluetoothing to the Apple mouse and having the MX plugged into the usb.

Disable your keyboard and trackpad too if you have one then start with just the Apple mouse.

Not yet. And you actually got me to check to make sure my mouse was right side up...kudos.

So far tried all these things and no dice.

Thanks all. I might have to resort to the ultimate never fail solution. Restart!!

Back in a bit.

Wish me luck all.
