Default Great Last Day of Season at Wolf Lake

Hey Guys
We had a fantastic day of fishing on Saturday at wolf lake. We pulled 3 tags for walleye and had still not made it out so we packed up the truck and headed to Wolf early saturday Morning. Tons of snow and flood ice gave the Nissan a great test but we didn't want to chance it going to far. We set up shop in front of the boat launch and got to work. First fish was a tagged walleye and things only got better from there. A couple hours later, Pat was on the tip-up frantically trying to take back some line on the 20 plus pound pike that had spooled us. We successfully landed that beauty and then took a quick break to BBQ up some White-tail filets on the BBQ. Turns out we needed our energy for the non-stop walleye action between 6 and 7 pm. With all 3 tags filled we headed for home. Great way to end the season. I hope that's enough to keep me sane until the open water season fires up.
Tight lines all,

Brandon

Hey guys...I don't come into the fishing section very often but I did tonight.

I am not sure if I'm understanding this correctly.

Do you have to have "tags" to catch fish?

Tundra there is a draw system for a few lakes in alberta here. Same idea as a big game draw except for fish.

Nice fish boys. I've always wondered what wolf would be like in the winter. Did you try the point on the west side of the campground at all?

Awesome report! I got stuck in the flood water with a skidoo some weeks back and didn't return. 3 walleye tags went in the garbage. I'm glad you got the chance to get out there and have some fun.

Cheers!
