Yes they could,, if they could handle a sweep. Unfortunately, that team down south has something in the water. I think the contaminant left Roger’s Place and headed south

Yes. I’m being optimistic.

No doubt, tight game nothing came easy.

Great win, but they all are. 8 Straight, the hottest team in the NHL right now.

Hotter than Boston even.

Said it before and I'll say it again, man are these guys ever fun to watch!

These guy's are GOOD!

Nice Trochu, nice. Not much more to be said on that other thread I guess hey?

Looking forward to who ever we line up against and being able to watch a team that gets to play after game 82 has come and gone. Oh sorry, too soon....

Oh I think even flames fans realize now that Edmonton is the real deal. A solid contender this year. Gonna be good.

Agree. Once the playoffs start it’s a whole new game. If not why even have playoffs and just hand over the Stanley Cup over to the Presidents Trophy winner. As Tampa Bay can attest to a few years back, going out four straight in the first round after winning the President’s Trophy.

Where they'll all finish in a tie.

Except the ones that get PO'd and quit and the ones that just play every second or third hole.

I was really hoping they'd grab the second wild card spit and Oilers would win the div. Then we could watch another 4 straight drubbing.

And that is all anyone can ever ask for in a 32 team league with a salary cap. Solid contender is a good as it gets. We are there. The journey here was a long, dark one. The thought of what we are watching in this team makes me very happy. It will likely only last a few years because of the salary cap. So... we savor the moments.

89th power play goal.

A new club record.

We have witnessed the greatest power play unit in the history of the NHL.

Amazing season!

Not so. I delete threads that have too much magpie activity. Magpies are pests.

Yes they played very well, I never chirp much on the hockey stuff, but i sure hope they get it done .

If they keep playing the way they are ,they got as good of chance as any other teams , skill and luck plays a big part . They have the skill and a few lucky bounces in there favor can mean a lot .

Boston played hard to meat those records so there tank looked a bit dry tonight . They won, but they never played well .

Oilers to win it all.
Cheers

Yup they are good but many good teams fall way short come playoff time and get ousted in the first round....go Vegas go.

But

Stuart Skinner made 27 saves to pick up his 29th victory in net, surpassing Grant Fuhr (1981-82) for the franchise record for most wins in a rookie season....now that is cool, well done.

Excited for the team. BUT, I've been around long enough to know playoff hockey is different then regular season hockey. Teams are fighting harder for the wins. Refs are managing the game different then the regular season. Teams are crashing the net and goalie harder. Coaching a team in the playoffs is different then regular season.

I sure hope they go deep and win it all. However I am keeping it real and understand that things happen in the playoffs that can shake a team hard.
