Default Maligne Lake/ River

Hey all,

Thinking of hitting up Maligne Lake on the long weekend here. I have never fished it before and was wondering what works good this time of year for fly fishers....I hear that dry flies are not too popular here...true? Also is Maligne River worth hitting as well?

I have fished Maligne Lake earlier in the year but George at Online in Jasper said that he did some chronimiding and did very well in only 3 hrs just not sure what he said for numbers 30 + .. if trolling Raps you could have a great day in spots

On Medicine Lake ..its very fish able same way or even trolling ..as I used too do in 1967 as a youngster .. I have done it a few times since and did well ..but when the lake starts to drop in Sept and you can walk across the flats to the river that's when to fish Medicine

Food for Thought
