Default Tuna fishing pics from the west coast this September

Hey guys, thought I'd toss up some photos now that winter has arrived and I've got a bit of time on my hands.

Probably been enough halis and salmon posted so I'll do something different.

September brought the warm water currents close enough to the west coast of the island for us to run out and chase albacore tuna.

We fished anywhere from 55 - 70 miles offshore for these buggers but boy was it worth it!! Anyone ever gets a chance I highly reccommend giving it a whirl!!

This is a sunfish that was hanging out on the surface. Jason picked him up for a quick photo and then back into the drink!

And some video

That is the tiniest ocean sunfish I have ever seen. I have seen 200 and 400 lbers off the Queen Charlottes. They eat jellyfish ya know.

Nice pics of the albacore. How did they taste... When is the sashimi party?

Nice catch guys!!!! just wondering at what depth were you guys at?? This year we picked up two small ones about 40 kms straight west of tofino while hunting for springs. Our depths were 75 and 130.
