I love all hunting firearms, therefore I have no favorite make or model; however, my favorite cartridge is the good ole 30-06 and Nosler Accubonds.

The one is shoot Right now I'm using a Browning 7mm RM ABolt Medallion, I love the natural, old feel of the gun and I've taken about every Alberta and Sask species with it. I'm using 162 grain Interlocks and they've done really well for me.

I'm happy with my Savage 10fp in 308 win. It's taken plenty of deer and fed the family for years. I now have a .50 cal Hawken percussion that I intend to take into the field with me this fall, Time and God willing.

Sako vixen .222, K4 wever steel scope, rifles not fussy about ammo, but fav ammo Norma or sako ammo. 53-55grain, lots of deer, pigs and goats didn,t like the combo thought.

Good call on the 7mm-08. Love mine.
I like the 140 gr TSX, but my rifle prefers the 140 gr Federal Premium nosler partitions by 1/2" at 100 yrds. I suppose for hunting critters its a push, but the partitions do shoot better with my rig...what to do!

What a thought provoking question. My rifle I like the best is a Winchester M70 SuperGrade 300WSM I bought and had Corlanes bed, lap the action, and tune the trigger. It took a lot of different handloads to find a bullet it liked though - Barnes TTSX 168 grain.
I also love what the Marlin 1895 MXR 45-70 with 300 gr Barnes bullets does on a moose.
However if I had to choose the very best shooting rifle I would have to go with my wife's Rem 700 in .280. After having the trigger pull dropped from over 7 lbs from the factory it has been great. It doesn't matter what we use in it, it will outshoot all our other rifles.

I am a little surprise at the small amount of mentions a good ol' .22lr have gotten. My favorite rifle is the first one I bought - a Ruger 77/22 in .22lr topped off with a weaver 2.5 - 7 scope. It loves Remington Gameloads. As for a centerfire I would have to say my Marlin 1895SBL in 45/70. Haven't had time to work out the best load for it but it sure is fun. Although favorites do change weekly.

Swift Sciroccos
Don't see too many guys singing praises about Swift Scirocco bullets.
I've had real good luck with them in my 300 wm. Accuracy and on game performance.
Anybody else like them?
Since Russels in Calgary left, I've had a bit of problem finding them, but now I have and I'm planning on sticking with them.

"rifle"......as in singular??
Pick just one? sacriledge!!
My favorite, most important rifle/caliber, is the last one that I bought, that I absolutely had to have for hunting............ (And if anyone tells my wife anything different, I will hunt them down!)
My latest, favorite rifle, is the 358 Norma Mag I had built. should go good with the bull moose tag I drew this year.

I got a Model 70 featherweight in 280 rem topped with a burris 3-9 that gets the nod. this beauty punches one inch groups with 140 grain ballistic silvertips consistently.
