Default What's taking on the Sheep

Hi all

just wondering what flies are catching fish on the Sheep lately please?

If its ok, thinking of trying dry fly, anybody use the black ant?

Going out this Sunday, can't wait.

Was there today in Okotoks, they were loving the bead head Chironomid (black) below a prince nymph. Using a strike indicator adjusted to approx 1.5 times depth of the water. All strikes and catches were on the chironomid.

If using drys, try an assortment of caddis as that's what another fellow was catching some with.

Keep an eye out for bulls as there are plenty in the deeper pools.. never got time to chuck anything at them as they were feeding deep.

Started out at the east bridge and worked my way upstream.. Beautiful fall day

Hope this helps
