Default Red Earth

I had a brief hunt up there 2 years ago. LOTS of whitetails. You'll fill suplemental tags, no problemo! Dunno about anything else.

Yep lots of white tails, some monsters around but not easy finding them in all that bush sometimes. Realy good grouse hunting most years and a there might be some late season moose tags still kicking around. Not alot of moose tags get filled from the road up here though, gotta work for them.

Hmmmmm... Red Earth. First trip up, hadta put my grill back in the truck, battery back in the battery box, wait for two days for a tow outta the muskeg (don't believe your passenger when he says the ground is good ahead, walk it yourself...), but all in all good trip. Some good black bears up there as well as the other stuff. Should be a good trip, nice country.

I worked up there years ago. Tons of whitetails with some real hogs around. Moose are relatively scarce and alot of wolves. A decent number of black bears around as well. I would expect the rut to occur around the last two weeks of November.

I have spent a total of 12 days up in 541 with an argo and riverboat off the wabasca. Two of us floated the river and two us argoed through some of the nastiest $h!t on the planet. Seen lots of bear, some whitetail, one moose and a couple of caribou. Tough area to hunt but some good fishing in the wabasca and panny rivers

Funny, I live in slave but usualy head towards Red Earth to hunt. Hunting an area where I bump into very few other hunters is more important to me than hunting the ones that people are seeing good bucks in. Theres good bucks everywhere and I hate being interupted, their just harder to find in the big timber.
