Default great Thursday

hit the river today, started off with one sucker, then the wind blew in hard. another guy came down to the same area and was tossing lures and hitting all sorts of walleye and some pike, so I was switching back and forth between bait and lures, since I had taken almost all my lures out of the truck a couple weeks ago, I dont use them during the summer. tossed lures when the wind was howling and kicking up the river, and put bait out when it was calmer. ended the day with 1 sucker, 5 pike up to 8 pounds, and 11 walleye. one eye was 22 inches and the best was 24. the rest were assorted sizes under 22 but they all actually sort of put up a fight on a light rod. kept the 22 for dinner. man was it good!

22 on the stick and the 24 just caught, one cast later

not bad for 65 pound braid and no leader

Wayne,

Nice fish! looks like they are certainly on the fall feed, the way they inhaled those lures. Nothing beats a good Walleye fry (maybe a ling fry). All in all sure beats a day at work!!! Thanks for the pics.
