Took a look at your site, I couldn’t find any way to get them online? What’s the easiest way to pick one up?

Thanks

You could message gpelker or myself and do an EMT and we can fill out and send you your ticket. If you are in GP you can also get them at Big Timber archery. -Thanks -Ray

Default African raffle

I have been on 2 fantastic hunts with Ruan, the PH and owner.
Here are the 2 kudu I have taken with Sesembo safaris.
First one was in 2015 and the 2nd one in 2018, both with rifle.
Going back in 2019 to try and finally get one with bow.
Both were mature herd bulls.

Take a guess at the lengths.

2015

2018

I will provide the answers in a couple of weeks.

Can someone post a link for the raffle? I can’t seem to find it online. Or is it sold out?

Default Kudu are tough to judge.

Both are very beautiful bulls.
My guess would be...
2015 54 inches.
2018 48 inches.

Default kudu lengths

BuckCuller knows his kudu, good job. They are tough to judge, I originally had thought my 2018 would be in the 55 range but being narrow results in smaller curls.
Thanks for the guesses guys.
2015 - 54"
218 -49"

Will post a picture of a possible 60" kudu from this property in a couple of weeks

We are almost 70% sold, so still a few tickets out there.

Just innocently wondering... the winner gets a five animal hunt. What would the cost of shipping those 5 animals back home be? Since the lion hunter incident a couple years ago I thought most airlines won't transport wildlife taken by hunters so the price probably went up. Is this still an issue? And to get 5 animals to the taxidermist isn't going to be cheap either. Hope the people buying the raffle tickets consider the expense of such a prize.

GPelker... Beautiful kudus. How did you do the taxidermy on these gorgeous animals? Shoulder Mount? Rug and european skull? Full body mount in an african diorama in the corner maybe? (That would be nice)

You have a great point the hunt is what is up for raffle what you do with it is the hunter responsibility. If you’ve ever wanted to go to Africa this is your excuse to the wife to do it.

I got my taxidermy done over there which worked out great.
Five of my shoulder mounts, shipping and brokerage fees for me worked out to be 6900 cad.
The Canadian dollar is the same now as it was then.
The cost of shipping the mounts would not have changed much as the companies that made a stink are not the usual shippers anyway.

They treat you really good through the whole process and really make it painless to get your trophies home.

You can do it for a lot cheaper upfront if you get it dipped and shipped then get the mounts done at your taxidermist over time.

If you did European mounts it would also save money.

Still a trip of a lifetime for great deal.

One more note I went in early June and received my mounts in December.

Hope you win Red Bullets.

If your not into bringing trophies home the raffle prize can be used as a photo safri as well! We also have people that are interested in buying the prize, so you could always cash out as well.

Shipping? I would contact Rigel Logistics. They did fantastic work for me in 2014. Trophies were delivered to my door.

Default raffle thanks

thanks for the support guys!

my first trip I took 9 animals, I dipped all the skulls and horns and brought back 5 hides. All in cost about 5000. so not cheap to do.
from my 2018, hunt I only brought back the pictures.
would love to do a bit of taxidermy but would rather do more hunts instead.

Default hunting blogs

thanks for the super support - we are about 70% sold.

some info to let you know how awesome the hunting is in Namibia.
I have hunted this area twice and had fantastic hunts, I am going back again this May and a couple friends from work are also headed over in June.

I took 8 animals with bow on my first trip in 2015 hunting blinds in October, the dry season, water hole action was amazing.
here is my blog on that hunt.

here is my blog on my 2018 hunt that was mainly spot and stalk - a great challenge.

Default kudu - 60'

pictures of a possible 60" kudu that was in the hunting area at the end of last season. I get to be the first on the list to hunt him, hopefully he is still in the area.
