Default Best Day Fishing Ever hands Down..

I have done countless trips with breathtaking scenery. Reeled in thousands of fish. Made some great friends and life long memories. But it all took a back seat today to the most wonderful fishing trip I have ever had the pleasure to take. I did not need to drive 4 hrs to get there nor did I hike into some double agent secrete fishing hole.

I just drove 5 mins from my home and took with me my most precious gift. Kylee is my daughter she is 2 going on 30. Today she caught her fist fish!!

She got some no bigger then my finger. But they might as well of been 15lb rainbows to me. I would give up every fish I have ever got to feel that pride and see the smile on here face as I did today. Today was a great day... Daddy is so proud of you hunny.

Exciting stuff isn't it?

I had my daughter reeling in 8 pound lakers this summer.
She had to be looking at every fish that was on our hooks.
Right in there.

She's a great fishing partner.
Always hungry though....

Excellent post.

Imagine the day when she's old enough and has caught the fishing bug, to hike into a mountain stream, or spend the weekend chasing lakers with you or pays for a guided trip for the two of you for your birthday.

It great to see fathers and daughters doing AO things together.

Keep up the good fathering.

It's not the size of the fish that counts..... It's the size of the smiles!!! Awesome.

Default Just great, just great wonderful pics Dad

My son was 6 when he caught his first fish, rainbow at 6,000' EL. lake close to our home. He was just thrilled. The 8X10 pic is still on the mantle and he is 12 now. Was one of our best days. Now he is getting ready for his first hunting season...I'm looking for his first rifle.

Cheers

Paul

I'm looking forward to that Day! My oldest daughter is almost 3 and she is casting down the hallway with her Dora fishing rod. Daddy's fault for not getting her on a fish yet.

All I have to say is don't delay. Get her out today or as soon as you can.

She will love the moment. You don't need to go for the large trophy fish. The main thing is that she is catching smiles and having a good time.

Great pictures!

My 3 year old grandson caught his first fish a few days ago - a 6 inch perch, it was in a kid's fishing derby in Ontario. He received a new rod and reel as a prize for submitting it. He had to show me his new rig on Skype, along with the question, "Grandpa, when can you help me catch fish?"

Soon, little buddy, soon !
