Default Fishing Bighorn Dam down to RMH

Hey Gents
I'm canoeing the NSR from the Bighorn Dam to Rocky this weekend and I'm wondering if there are any tips or spots you'd like to share I've guided this stretch many times but have never fished it, any thoughts would be appreciated by PM or here on the thread. Trip report to follow.

From the dam to the forestry trunk road is through a broad floodplain with numerous channels. There's some decent fish in this section but I prefer downstream of the trunk road bridge. You go through the gap and the river becomes narrower and a single channel. There are numerous great pools and runs that hold big brown, bulls and tonnes of whitefish.

About 100 m downstream of the dam that has a really deep pool along the right downstream bank. If you're in a boat or canoe, stop here for a while and give it a try.

Overall focus most of your time fishing downstream of the trunk road bridge.

I forgot to add that at this time of year the whitefish are migrating upstream and the whole section of river you will be canoeing should be loaded with good sized ones.
