Default Cascade Idaho

Recently returned from my virgin trip to Cascade Reservoir. Total numbers were down across the board as far as fish caught from everyone I talked with but the quality was right up there in my books.

My third fish caught on day one was far and away a personal best and blew me away. 2lbs 10oz, 16.25” long and 13.75” around.

One of the fellows I was fishing with lives in Boise and he also caught his personal best at 2lbs 7oz. Between the five of us we had many fish between 1lbs 10oz-2lbs 3oz. Incredible Perch fishing. Both of us are getting our Humpy’s mounted.

I never thought I’d consider big trout as secondary catches but the ones we did pull through the ice took a back seat to the Perch. If you can swing it, I’d highly recommend making the trip.
