Default 1954 Anglers guide to the National Parks

Found this Anglers guide book/pamphlet from 1954 online. I wonder if anything has really changed? I know there are no splake mentioned recently but the rest are still around. Neat to look back 66 years ago. Might give a guy some ideas of places to fish too.

Just finished reading. Very interesting for sure. Thanks for the reminder. One kinda forgets how many creeks, rivers and small lakes that are around us that can be fished. Would be pretty cool to get to a few of them by horseback. Could walk but by the time I get to some of them I would have to turn around and come back. LOL I use to do quite a bit of it 30 years ago. I still have a few back country trail maps for lots of areas in Alberta

It was a very interesting to read the old regulations. The one thing I found very odd was no mention of Lake trout in Bow Lake. My dad and I have fished Bow Lake since the early 70's and caught many lake trout. At one time this was one of Alberta's best kept secrets.

Great find! Thanks for posting it. Interesting that Maligne Lake in Jasper only held Brook Trout in 1954. Rainbows must have been stocked after that.
