the elk river is stop number one when heading up to the forestry trunk. #2 is the pembina forks. Awesome fishing, awesome scenery.

shawn what stream was that in your last pic?

I'm going to take a wild one and say Stud Creek.

Default No way this weekend!

Not a good idea to be heading out to the trunk road this weekend! There is heavy rainfall warnings, flood warnings issued from Noedegg to Red Deer.

Waste of time trying to fish any creek or river flowing hard and fast, plus more run off will be coming with it.

The entire area is saturated in water, rivers and creeks are all really high. Not good for fishing but great for white water rafting! www.mukwah.com. Its a rafting company I guide for on the weekends.

I wholeheartedly agree,,, I get so miffed when people ask why I don't go to Mexico or Hawaii or Vegas,,, why? I've lived in two places on the coast where people would come year round to vacation, but still people would ask why I don't travel, it makes no sense to if you are already there/here. I'd rather spend a hefty chunk on my "neighbors" fishing business than a charter in Hawaii owned by a hedge fund in Conneticutt.

Canada is awesome and then some and then some more.
