ATTENTION

pls check google sattellite map, make sure lake u going to drill dosent have water stream going in or out from the lake, if there is one stay away from stream atleast 100 feet...

water streams create air bubbles and warmer water, this can cause thin surface or canal under the ice...

always bring ICE PICK...

Wizard has 5" of good ice, 3" of white ice.

Jim Nelson pond has about the same. Just remember there is an aerator on the south side.

I don't know what went on, but for those on the forum who know me personally...I definitely have a sense of humor, warped though it may be.

Doesn't change the fact that some folks don't know when to quit...too much of the same crap from the same people all the time gets old.

By the way, I haven't read the news this morning yet...would you be a sport and check it for me and let me know if there's anything interesting going on in the world?

Seriously though, what'd I miss in this thread?

I have not been out yet, but do take caution out there. Working 2 hrs north of slave and it was +6 at midnight and alot of rain and high winds around 2 to 3:30 am. Think the coldest it got through the night was +4

Be a long time for Travers yet. There is ice around the LBPP boat launch, doesnt look healthy though. The majority, like 90 to 99% of the main lake is wide open, can launch a boat at the east end if you want.
