Two on the stringer. A good day of fishing with the right lures. Were you using the Coors Iced Tea for bait?

The fishing was *almost* bunk anyway. Saw lots of other people coming in with fish, but with the girls on the pontoons we couldn't go too far away from the launch, and the wind was blowing the algae to our end of the lake, and the water looked like pea soup

That said, everybody did get at least one fish on Saturday. I showed up a little late, and met the girls on the water. Fished for maybe half an hour and got one tiny pike (on my very first cast actually! ) and then a minor crisis took us off the water for the afternoon, and a big storm kept us off for the evening.

But yeah, the fishing might have been somewhat secondary

Hey there, so I'm just going to add straight to this thread here about our little fishing adventure me and my girlfriend decided to take.

So my best friend has never been fishing so I decided with the hot weather predictions this weekend would be the one to get her out. I lent her a rod and a pontoon and she was set for the weekend. We got there late Friday night so Saturday we got up early and set up the pontoons at the boat launch and paddled out.

Right away I caught a pike so the day was already getting promising, not to long after I got another hit so I gave my girlfriend the working crankbait and sure enough within the hour she was pulling in her first pike! I got her to unhook it and do everything on her own. Nicely done .

Half way through the day, Geezle rolls in with the boat and we do a little more fishing and maybe 5 minutes later my friend has a treble in her hair she cant get out lol, so I helped her with that and maybe 30 min later her oar lock snapped and she started drifting to shore and had a bit of a struggle trying to avoid paddling in circles lol.

Tried a little more fishin Sunday but the water was pretty thick of algae and fishing was very slow.

All in all great weekend I am pretty sure my friend will be out fishing with me again since she was pretty happy with her first pike despite hooks in the hair and pontoon mishaps

Better now Bigbore?

Wish this one would have turned out a little better, but couldn't keep the rain off the freakin' camera lens!

Bastard! Wish I was still at the lake, but it was a short notice unplanned trip for me, and Something > Nothing

How did I miss this post?

As for what lures I used to catch ones...well...as per FisherGrrrl's post, one was caught on a crankbait
