We drilled 3 holes only about 20-30 feet away from the boat launch.. I saw about 15 fish and pulled up 2, My uncle said he saw about the same thing and he caught 1. Were heading out there again tommorow real early!

How deep was the water there? What were you using for lures?

was there today. was in 14 feet of water first and didnt see a thing. moved to 7 feet of water and saw lots. we caught a few, but the biggest fish we saw was probably 10". probably saw 50-60 fish up to 12:30. lots of ice if you are away from the areated open water, 14" where i was. trying carson tomorrow, hopefully there is a chance at larger fish. c&r but bigger fish are still nicer

Thumbs up Salters Lake-Meet Mr. Rainbow

There is some monster trout roaming around the lake. The photo is from last year.

Nice fish but for a stocked rainbow to be considered a monster we would need it to be a minimum of 25".

Salters Lake there are a good number of the fresh stock (7"->11") swimming those waters right now, a few 18" & 19" fish present and more rare, anything over 22". It is stocked heavy for it's size but it will be hard to see anything get to the monster mark at the rate the fish are harvested. Good lake with trophy potential but just another hole managed for meat.
