Default New PB Pike

My teenage boys had a few days off school after they finished their final exams at the end of January, so they went chasing big pike for two days. They managed to land three over 40 inches in 24 hours, and my younger son caught his PB.

Even though they caught three nice pike, they are still on the hunt for a 30+ pounder this winter.

Great job boys - I appreciate the fact they have been taught to pay attention to how they are handling the fish, removing the hooks properly, and returning them to the water promptly ...... good job to the boys and good job to you for teaching them !!!!

Some very nice big fat hens there ....

Great fish, I’ve fished for pike once in the Yukon using large bucktail flies, didn’t manage any big ones but brought several small fish to hand, love their aggression !!!

Good to see there are still some young kids around that appreciate the outdoors. All the ones I see are dragged out by their parents huddled in a lawn chair trying to do something on their phones.

Very cool!

I struggle to get my kids on the ice nowadays. They get spoiled by the action during the start of open water season, I guess...

Wicked fish and video. I remember catching some big pike on tip ups on Northern lakes. Fun when you finally see what's been pulling so hard.

Congrats to your boys.
