German Short Hair Dog Breeder
Does anyone on the formum know where I could find a German Short Hair dog breeder. I could look on the net, but figured someone on here would send me in the right direction of a reputable breeder.
Thanks,
Ken

Message forum member elkhunter1234, he can help you out! I have one of his last year litter pups. I now a few other members on here that have litter mates to mine and are all very happy with their GSP's and the dealing with Jim and his son Eric. Good luck

There is a breeder near Hanna called Bevans Pointers. I have a brother and sister from one of their litters a year and a half ago. Great dogs, lots of hunting instinct. I have not put alot of time into hunting training as of yet, but see no reason why they wouldn't do what there breed for. Don't have a link but if I remember correct, Bevans Pointers.com

I also recommend Bevans Pointers in Hanna. We have a German Shorthaired mixed with a German Wirehaired from him. She is awesome. Incredibly smart with lots of instinct. She is in my avatar picture.

My male GSP came from Jeff at Champion Sporting Dogs. Being he is only 5 months, we haven't started in on any hunting training yet. But I know Jeff hunts all his dogs with great success. He is a wonderful happy/healthy pup with great instincts. Recommend them to anyone looking.

we have had our GSP Berland for almost 6 years now and we purchased him from Leah Thorsteinson at Peregrine Kennels. She matched us with a dog that was the perfect balance for family and hunting. You should check her out.

I would have to put in a vote of the godlingtons too. Great guys and great looking dogs, that have a very strong hunting gene.

Sledhead, where is Diesel from? Great looking dog!
Heres Rooster out of the Jim and Eric Godlonton's last litter,
He has some style every now and then,
Most importantly he gets the birds

Thanks Fry, Diesel came through Karen in Didsbury.. More of a show line than hunting, but his instinct is amazing, his abilities in the field top notch.
Here is a little vid of when he was a pup having some fun with friends at the farm doing a release hunt.

Can't go wrong with Dunfur Kennel's and I've heard some good things about Montana Pointers. Not exactly right around the corner but worth the drive

I have been looking around myself and see these guys are having a litter. They are using "razor" from Dunfur has the stud. By all indications should be a decent litter and located in Calgary.

I wont be breeding until this time next year If you can wait. Once they have all there clearance tests done, Conformation title and Navhda testing completed, I will be breeding Gypsy to an American Champion who is Master Hunt titled and a Navhda VC. If you can wait that long let me by PM I can put you on a list. Cricket will be bred the following spring to a similar titled male on the east coast.

Are you still looking? I know of a male pup available on a breeding thats double up on NSTRA CH DC Gambles Odysey Fritz MH UT1. The dad obtained his Dual Champion and NAVHDA UT1 before 30 months an will be tested at the Invitational this year. The mom is litter mate to FC/AFC Snips Sixth Sense Wyatt MH and a Conformation Champion herself plus NAVHA UT2.
Should produce some great pups. Though its not a repeat breeding this has been done before with outstanding results.

We have a litter planned for this fall out of a couple of our own dogs. It should be an excellent field breeding and both dogs have all health clearances. Both dogs are competitive Field Trial dogs that have placed in both AKC and CKC events.
PM me for details. http://www.windrip.ca
