Default Oil patch must go green -Preston Manning

Quoting from an interview, Manning says:

"Living within your means, which is the heart of fiscal conservatism, is actually an ecological concept. You can't take more out of physical or life systems than you're prepared to put into them to sustain them," he said.

Most would agree with this, however, there are some who think that any calls for a greening of the patch is an attack on our economy. There are sea changes that happen, and this is one that is starting too, as there are some oil companies that understand this well, and are taking proactive steps in many different ways to have less of an environmental impact.

One can look at the adoption of replacements for the traditional 'donkey' pumps with a significant less footprint being used in the prairies and plowing in pipelines for less surface disturbance as two examples.
