Default Los Cabo fishing (Pic heavy)

The family went to Mexico this past week for holidays, if you are wanting to go to Los Cabo, I highly recommend it.

My dad and I booked a trip with one of the fishermen/guides there and he took us out for 5 hours on a little 23' panga... A little small for the deep sea but it got the job done that's forsure. Now, I'm not the biggest fisherman, I don't know too much about fishing, but I used to go out lots when I was a kid. This was my first real 'test".

While in the mariana, there were some fantastic looking yachts and ships.

As we were leaving the bay, I caught a darado. Quickly reeled it in. Very colorful fish (pictures don't show it very well)

After that, we trolled around and spotted a few marlines floating on the surface (tried for them but no luck).

My dad then had a fish on It took my dad about 15 minutes to bring in this fish. The whole time my dad was reeling it in the captain thought it was a big black marlin because of the "fight". Turns out my dad snagged a good sized Wahoo. (which is a prized fish down there),.

After that ordeal we kept trolling for a long time with no action. As we were about to call it a day the captain found another marlin floating on the service. I really wanted to catch once and I knew this would be my last chance. So we quickly brought in the lines and casted one towards the marlin. He quickly bit the hook and then started the struggle to bring him in. It took just over 30 minutes to bring him in. The blue Marlins are a wicked sight to see when you are reeling them in because they sure do put on a show. This fish jumped up about 5 or 6 times, which was wicked to see. We decided to release it but the captain figured it weighed a little over 100 pounds.

We got the Wahoo and darado filleted and took it back to the resort where the restaurant made a great dinner out of the 2 fish. One of the best meals I've had.

Sorry for the long story guys, but I thought I'd share the coolest fishing trip I've experienced. If you ever have the opportunity, GO!
