37 seconds in, first shot on net and Oilers are down right out of the gate...Jesus, is there a script they follow?

Edit: Drai ties it a minute later! He didn't read the script obviously!

Tied game.

And less than a minute later, Canes score again to take 2-1 lead......three goals in two minutes sixteen....this game has potential!

McD almost ties it short handed....then RNH almost ties it short handed....this is actually highly entertaining so far! Some old fashioned Run and Gun hockey here!

How could a NHL team be this bad at passing?

Is letting in the first shot (or one of first few) a goalie coach issue? Or it a mental issue, where he is just overthinking it now?

It’s the Goalie coaches job to have the goalies ready. This problem has been ongoing since Dubnyk, Scrivens, Montoya just to name a few of the past goaltenders

This first shot goal thing in Edmonton goes back to when Dubnyk was here, then Talbot carried the torch and now Koski is falling in suit. It really is odd,,, maybe mental, maybe coaching or maybe prep... it’s gotta stop tho

If you watch the replays on both goals they were not Koskinen's fault. Both goals were 3 tape to tape passes below the hash mark with the 3rd being a cross seam pass. Complete defensive break down and hung Koskinen out to dry. Luckily the Oilers woke up after that and have been playing well since.

100% right on your call. Dria messed up on his end for the first and Nurse/Larssen (sp) goofed up. Same with the second goal, Nurse/Larssen were BRUTAL

To me he looked slow sliding across. Very slow.

I just watched Hitch's post interview.. I like the guy. He is honest and sincere. He took responsibility for the 3rd goal and having a tired line on the ice.... but what choice did he have but to play McDavid and co when you are down by 1 with 4 minutes to go.

I like Hitch.

So, will we be seeing you on the Sportsnet desk on deadline day?

See what happens when bad info is put out.. You had a guess. thats all . Be accurate, support it or say it's just a idea or a rumour.

If not, your just another oiler fan flapping his gums in the wind. I had higher standards for you.

Sorry your feelers are hurt. But it was obvious. Even last night. I don’t have to do anything in regards to proving the obvious. You thought he was staying to be the almost 5 million dollar back up? Lol! Yes last night I knew for sure he was gone. Hence my post.

Talbot out was just a salary dump of a pending UFA who was overpaid, now they have room for Sekera back in the lineup, but if there is anyone out there that thinks Sekera is the answer to the oilers defensive woos ????? no no no, he will help somewhat but the real problem is that they get very little in the way of back checking from the forwards, proven again last night on all 3 goals the defence needs help and when you have forwards standing around watching the puck ??????? well we see what happens
Stick a fork in them for this year boys, they are done

Me too. I wish came all the best. He’s away from Schwartz and he will shine in Philly. He’ll post a .920 next season. When will this organization recognize that their goaltending program is terrible. Yes the D needs work but our goaltending needs to be better.

Just like all other players they will find a team and have success other than the tainted oiler organization.....

If the top teams don’t win any games and the mighty oil win them all we will still take first place. Go oil! Big push!
