Default Police Lake

So is Police Lake going to remain a "quality" fishery or is it going to revert back to a regularly stocked trout lake.............anyone know?

Who's fished it this summer and what size trout are you catching?

I fished Police Lake last Friday and it was good fishing. Caught about 10 rainbows ranging from 13-20”, plus a couple of little ones (this year’s stockers I assume). Most people were having some success. One guy I talked to said he’d caught a 22”er. Beautiful lake, but can be windy for tubers. Water levels were very high, shoreline trees were all flooded.
The main reason I went down there was because of the special regs, and I hope they keep it the way it is now. We need more of these quality lakes, not less.

Was there about two weeks ago and only got about 18. 15 were 16-19 inches or so. Didnt fish real hard (trying out the new HDS 10, and messing around with it.

Last week took a friend and couldnt keep the little ones off(new stockings?). But had fun anyway. Lost a couple really nice ones.

I too hope they keep it the same. It was awesome catching fish that were over 12".

Fish size is increasing.

HD Have not heard what they plan on doing yet though.

Heading out again tomorrow.

I was there a week ago with my flyrod and bellyboat. Wind wasn't so much fun. Caught a few. Small but scrappy.
