Exclamation AOF Coal Lake Clean-Up! This Saturday 10am-1pm, Free Luch!

Hey Guys, Gals and Kids
Due the nasty situation at Coal I think it's time we get started and show what we can do! So this Saturday 10pm-1pm we're going to get together and make a diffrence! Hot Dogs, chips and pop are on me! I'll contact SRD and let them know as well as bring some gloves and safety orange vests! We'll meet in the boat launch are and then work our way past the dike area and down the eastern edge about 500m. Sounds good?
Tim

Please leave a post if you plan to come so I can plan food!

Hey Timsesink,

Just an idea but if we get less than 5-6 confirmed maybe we should push it back a week? give folks a bit more time to schedule it. I will do my best to make it when ever it is.

timsesink Maybe see when you talk to SRD if they would supply a few garbage cans to put out . Easy enough to burn garbage in them things when they fill .

If everything goes as planned I will be there. Great job in planning this as we have been pulling stuff off the last 2 weekends we were there. It will be great to get a group going and I am sure that once we start the people that are there will help also.

Hey Guys
Glad to hear there's a few that can make it. I work every Sunday so we can't go then and I'm booked to kingdom come after this weekend so I think I'll go for it with who's ever there but hanx for the input. After the cleanup we'll do some fishing and have a grand ole' time.

There is some old tires and garbage near the north shore and the road.....the area to the East in the farmers feild has lots of little junk in it, shoes, plastic packaging.......the more you clean up today the sooner I fish on Saturday! lol.

See you then if you are coming!

Along the eastern shore it's getting pretty bad, I'm excited that there's goig to be so many guys there! I don't think the cleanup will take long especially if we hit diffrent areas and split into groups of 3. And yes to confirm we'll it's at the boat launch not the campground. C U all there!

Thanks for planning this clean up Timsesink! Was nice to meet you today and the other guys who showed up. It didn't us very long to walk the shores and collect a bunch of trash. We found 3 mufflers! which was kind of funny? I cashed in on some forgetful fisherman leaving some decent rod holders stuck in the mud. A few hook and plugs were found to! Was chilly....snow in the ditches on the way there but all in all successful and nice to catch up with some people and make new friends.

too bad I couldn't make it, was cutting trees all morning nearby, but did manage to make it to the south end for a half hour of fishing.... If there's another one of these, with a little more notice, I'll be there!

Have to agree with Lefty, thanks to Tim for organizing the clean-up.Didn't take that long to do the clean up. Next clean up should be all the dammed poachers out there. Hope to be out there fishing on friday.

Also would like to say a big thanks Timsesink. I really enjoyed meeting you all and having some great discussions of different experiences. Went back later after I dried off and warmed up. Two strikes but none landed.
