Default Fishing in Reddeer

Im in reddeer for a few weeks for school and just whondering wher is a good place to go for a afternoon after class nothing to far like under a 1/2 hr drive
just my rod in my truck thats all I got no boat
also its not a fly rod ether

You can fish the river it goes right through town.

Get a map and head out east of Blackfalds and hit burbank. It is where the Blindman River enters in to the Red Deer River. Good fishing there.

That's a good spot or three mile bend is good too. Dickson Dam is further away but an excellent spot for Walleye, Jack, Whites, Browns and the occasional Bully or Rainbow
