Default Range Finders: Vortex 1500/1800 vs Sig Kilo 2200

Hey Guys,

I've been thinking of buying a range finder for long range shots (500yards +).
and I'm kind of stump on which range finder to buy.

I heard good things about vortex 1500 and Sig 2200, but can't really make a choice on which to invest into.

What are your guys' experience and thoughts on these range finders?

Will appreciate your guys' replies.

I had a vortex 1000 for a few years. Absolute garbage. Couldn't range a rock past 550, couldnt range an animal past 300. Was messing around with a clients Sig this fall and ranged trees at 2.5 km. Sig all the way. Buy from a us shipper, save a few hundred.

Edit:
Should note that the Sig we were using predated the 2200 - believe it was the 2000, but couldnt swear to it. Hunter said he paid 400 for it a couple years ago.

Default Range finder

Try to look for a leica 1600b, I've seen some used ones for $600 and it will crush both of those unit. Might not be able to range as far as the kilo 2200 but It will give you an accurate range on everything you point it too out to its max range. I've ranged coyotes out to 1200 (farthest i've tried). My shooting partner runs a Kilo and we always confirm with the Leica. I tried the g7 br2 next to the leica and was not impressed at all with the G7 so I sold it and kept the leica.

I saw all your guys' response.

I went with the SIG 2200 LHR. I saw it on sale on Cabelas US

I just need to practice to shoot out to 900 yards+
