Default Is it legal to use bait for trail camera when it's not hunting season???

Hey boys can't stop thinking about the upcoming season.
I have 3 cameras and want to put them out again at the start of summer.
Can you put a bag of oats in front of the trail camera during the summer?
I just want to attract a few deer and hope to see a couple big boys in velvet. My gut tells me the answer is most likely no but mabye i'm wrong.

as far as i know, there is no law against baiting for the purpose of taking pictures during non-hunting season..... now if you were hunting out of seaon that is another matter.

Yes feeding is good in our area with all the heavy crusty snow.

Also, take a snowmobile on the outskirts of a quarter to make tracks for the animals.

Don't shoot the deer, but send every coyote you see to you know where.

You can in hunting season. Put whatever you want in front of your camera. It's for photography purposes. Along as you're not hunting over your camera, with all the bait, then it's totally legal.

You can bait them for the purpose of taking pictures anytime of the year. Whether there is a season on or not makes no difference in the laws. You cannot hunt over that bait though. That is where the controversy starts. How close to the bait is too close? There is no definition of this in the regs and it is a grey area. If all you want to do is take pics then by all means bait away. But beware. There are going to be a few holier than thou persons on here that will spout off about baiting increasing disease spread. Do whatever you feel you want as well as its within the law.
