Default Trapping on crown

Seen it mentioned here before that a guy can trap on crown if it's not a registered trapline. Any truth to that?

You can, but you need clearance from fish and wildlife. I have been trying up here for quite sometime. It is harder to find in registered crown land.
If you take the LSD of the crown land you want to trap to fish and wildlife they will do a search and check to see if anyone has the trapping rights on that particular piece of land.
