Default sourcing a bear leg hold trap?

looking for a big ol bear trap for decorative purposes...other than spending $240 on a brand new Duke 16, welding it open and ageing it by tyeing it to the truck on a gravel road. are there any options i can try?

-what are the chances of finding a used bear trap?

-do blacksmith/forgemasters still exist that can fabricate one to replicate 'old timers' with the overlapping teeth, hammer marks and handformed chain.

its a gift for a older friend of mine who lost his cabin to vandalism/arson.

My Father in law sold two a number of years ago and got four hundred each!
I even welded the one spring together because it had snapped in two.
The guy was from B.C. and came out specifically to buy them, not sure how he got his name or how he found out he had some. He wanted them for a collection.

Default Bear traps

Search mountianmantraps.com , I think you will find what you are looking for there.
