you can still fish it...you just need thicker line and a heaveir weight and some faith it will work haha

seen a bunch of ice chunks today floating down the NSR in my area today.

Yup, looked very similar to Wayne's pic. Didn't stop us from fishing though!

I have been watching the river in town here and have not seen any ice floating down yet. The current is a bit faster here compared to where you took the picture, Wayne. That may account for the ice where you were. I haven't seen the edge of the river early in the morning - usually it is around 10-11am when I am able to see the water. Perhaps there is some ice buildup along the shoreline from the night time temperatures - I just haven't seen any yet that late in the morning.

I hate dodging the line around the ice chunks as they float downstream. Does help keep a person warm though!
