Weird. A couple of people I know in Vancouver said they didn't feel a thing!

Vancouver is no where close to where the earthquake happened so most likely would not be felt there. the earthquake was in the haida gwaii region.

There's fault lines running through BC. If you look at the Pacific map of the ring of fire, it's no wonder...
That's a big quake tho

Yeah, its called the San Andreas Fault.
Big quake and deep from what we hear of it. Nothing moved at my house or area and I live mid Island.

The quake was on the Queen Charlott Island,about 20 miles nw of Sandspit.Just talked to a friend of mine from Sandspit,said it was a real shaker,a lot of stuff fell off shelves but no real damage.

My brother lives in Vanderhoof and he was saying his car was rocking back and forth in the garage. It felt like a boat ride he said.

I'm sure they would have it was unmistakeable here.Personally I was in the beergardens at the hockeygame so things just felt normal.lol
