How do you like your steak?
Title says it all. After all the talk about e-coli and cooking your steak until it's shoe leather I'm curious how everybody likes their steak...and if after this most recent e-coli contamination scare, you cook your steak any differently than before.
I prefer my steaks medium rare myself...I'm not scared of a little blood but it should at least be warm in the middle.

Rare, way rather it closer to blue than to medium for beef. Wind game I'm more of a medium to medium well.

Rare steak is okay, but I've never been brave enough to try one blue rare. I've seen people eat blue rare steak, and just seeing the texture of it as they cut it kinda turns me off. That and the fact that it's pretty much still cold in the middle and just seared on the outside.

Moose, Elk, Bison, ect, it doesn't matter to me, I take it Rare.
Pork, Chicken, Fish, Guinea Pig, ect, I prefer it to be medium.

A friend of mine who owns the local Dairy Queen says I am playing russian roulette b/c I eat all my game/meat medium rare and eat oysters raw. I can sit down and eat several dozen oysters and sliding down a nice cold one.

We ordered the Guinea Pig and Chicken, since we didn't know if we would like it. Turned out the Guinea Pig was way better than the Chicken. Taste was a bit of a cross between ............ Maybe chicken and pork.........kinda.
Anyway, I cant find my pics, so I found on online that looks very similar to what we had

Rare and dripping, a little black and crunchy on the outside. Domestic or wild. And oysters - yum.

I like seeing a little blood on the plate. Roasted veggies, wild rice and a pound of snow crab legs. Bottle of red and I'm a happy guy.

The bluer rare, the better. 1"+ thick, seared at 5/600 F. about 3 min./side, a jar of good red, asparagus, a some home grilled garlic toast. Fit for a king!!

I like a well done steak, cause a well done steak is RARE. Anything more is ruined. I have as well with no way to cook it, eaten a steak raw. It was good. just not as firm as I like it.

When people complain about how I like my steak I ask if they like the blue cooked out of blue-berries...
It is red meat.. not pink or brown...
BTW it is not "blood" blood is only carried in the blood vessels not the muscle...

We went to one of the best steak houses in Buenos Aries and right on the menu they gave you the choice of blue, rare, medium rare, medium or go to another restaurant. They were serious about it. Those Argentinans know their steaks.....yummy

Used to always order medium, but since stepping down to medium rare there just seems to be a lot more flavour.
