Default Anyone feed there dog Holistic food?

I have been trying a bag of Holistic with my dog. She is 9 and I want to make sure she has the longest healthiest life possible so I am trying a new kind of food. She loves it and apparently its not mostly fillers like cheap brands. Anyone else feed there dog this? What do you think?

You mean the dog that ate a hair brush and a bar of soap? Nope.

Haha good food does make a huge difference! I have to draw the line somewhere haha

Am interested in hearing some accounts though too.

I noticed my dogs coat was looking better then normal and she is not pooping as much and they are not as messy, darn lawn sausages.
And same with the gas, my dog would clear the house out 7 days a week, now shes down to gassing us out only 2 days a week lol.

Its is pricey, I pay $80 a bag but if its the best for my dog then so be it.

I get mine at pet planet 73 bucks a bag , and after 10 you get 15% off the next bag and the 13th bag is always free..

I noticed that his energy levels have changes and the brown trouts he leaves swimming on my lawn are solid and not as many to clean up .. !!

The Acana is what we are on now, because the $90 dollar bags of hollistic every week for the great dane, and the bulldog/rotweiler was getting a little rediculous.

That being said, worth it if you'r dogs aren't built like bulldozers

Our one britt has food allergies and eats holistic select. She's doing really well with it. We get it at G&E Pharmacy in Edmonton and it's less than $70/bag

I tried Acana, Orijen, and Wellness with my border. She wouldn't eat much. Switched to a raw diet and she's all over it.

You think there's less poop with Holistic Select, try raw. Even less and solid.

I buy from a gal south of Spruce Grove (she's a dealer for Doggy Style) but it's available also at the pet store in Stony Plain, can't remember what it's called.

There are several others out there but I like how this one is prepared and packaged. Very convenient.

My lab gets raw food. The brand is Mountain Dog Food (http://www.mountaindogfood.com/)

It's an Alberta company.

Great food and the dog loves it!

Both the cat and dog get Orijen...

I have heard that with a raw diet the dogs lawn-bombs will dry up and blow away if you don't get to them quick enough.

Not sure if that's true... but I do like the idea

Yes, my dogs waste turns into white ash/powder fairly quickly.

Not quick enough to avoid them smelling bad though, I still pick em up!
