Default Ravens took out a duck

I got up this afternoon at 16:00 hours to work graveyards and the daylight guy, the medic and the tool push said they saw the strangest thing ever. We're working up in Rainbow Lake and today a duck landed on the location followed by 8 ravens. The ravens terrorized the duck on the ground until it tried to fly away, and when it attempted to flee, they knocked to the ground again and ended up killing and picking at it until the only thing left was some feathers. The duck probably got grounded as it's been snowing up here non stop and there is over 2 feet of snow in the bush.

Saw the same thing up in Norman Wells back in the early 80's! A gull joined a group of 4 ravens at a garbage pile and paid with its life, the ravens jumped it and ate it.

As I said in my Swan thread, that is pretty much what I saw happen to four Swans.

They got forced down by a early winter storm, their open water froze over and the Ravens ganged up on them and killed the lot.

I also saw Ravens poke out an Owls eye. Got the photos to prove it too.

I don't like Ravens much!

I knew an old trapper up on the Simonette who told me he had see ravens take a calf moose. The got on it an pecked its eyes out and then just kept at it till they finally killed it and ate it. I'm no fan of ravens either.
